Maffai

The antidote to growing up has a new name : Maffai.

The sound of the quartet formed in 2018 in the south of Germany is somewhere in between angry indie and filigree post-punk. Their emocore-background stands out in their melodies and rough surface which is ever present in their live performances. No filler. No Bullshit. Three minutes are enough to get to the point.

Maffai combine faded guitarmelodies and extensive synthie sounds with lyrics sometimes direct and other times filled with cryptic metaphors. They drive their audience through every state of feeling possible while dancing – as long as even the last one feels the teenage angst all over them.
